I’m a mum of two and live in a cosy little bungalow with my biggest supporter and partner Simon in sleepy Suffolk, surrounded by tree-lined backroads and some of the most beautiful running trails. It’s my happy place, and where so much of this journey began.

I wasn’t always a runner. Back in April 2016, after trying (and failing) to start on my own more times than I can count, I joined a Couch to 5K course with a local running club. And that changed everything. Not because it was easy but because, for the first time, I had support, encouragement and someone who believed I could do it, even when I didn’t.

Since then, I’ve gone on to complete over 300 parkruns, countless 10K races, half marathons, and two full marathons.

So when I say I understand the journey - I really do.

I’ve felt the self-doubt, the sore legs, the blisters, the chafing… and a few injuries along the way.  I’ve trained hard. I’ve chased faster times, but for the past six years, my focus has shifted to something even more meaningful - coaching and helping others.

In March 2020, alongside my best friend Annette, we founded Worlingham RoadRunnerz, starting from scratch and growing it into a supportive, inclusive running community of over 200 members.  And that’s where I truly found what I love.

I’m in my element when I’m planning sessions, supporting runners, creating programmes, and building a community where people feel encouraged, capable, and proud of themselves.

Because running isn’t just about distance or pace.  It’s about confidence, consistency, and discovering what you’re capable of - both physically and mentally.

My mission is simple: To help as many people as possible start running, get outside, and experience the same transformation I did.

Because if I can do it…you absolutely can too 🩷💜🩵

I’m Michelle, founder of Rise and Run Coaching and a dedicated running coach since 2017, helping men and women to build real, lasting confidence through movement.

I specialise in helping beginners and busy women go from feeling unsure, unfit, and overwhelmed… to becoming consistent, confident runners - without pressure, extremes, or unrealistic expectations.

My approach is simple: structured guidance, supportive coaching, and a focus on progress you can actually sustain. Because running isn’t just about fitness—it’s about how you feel in yourself. It’s about building self-belief, creating consistency and proving, quietly but powerfully, that you’re capable of more than you think.

Over the years, I’ve worked with women at the very beginning of their journey, those who never saw themselves as “runners”, and helped them transform not just their fitness, but their confidence and mindset too.

That’s why everything I offer is designed to feel achievable, supportive, and realistic for real life. No pressure. No judgement. Just a clear path forward, with someone in your corner every step of the way.

If you’re ready to start, I’d love to support you.
