Frequent Asked Questions
Beginner runner questions
Do I need to be fit to start?
Not at all. This is designed for complete beginners. If you can walk, you can start. We build everything gradually so your fitness, confidence, and stamina grow week by week.
What if I can’t run for long?
That’s completely normal. Most beginners can’t run for more than 30–60 seconds when they start - and that’s exactly why this plan works. We use simple run/walk intervals to ease you in gently.
I feel nervous… is that normal?
Completely. Every single runner starts exactly where you are now. The hardest part is starting - and you don’t have to do it perfectly.
How much time do I need each week?
Around 3 sessions per week, each lasting 20-30 minutes. It’s designed to fit around busy lives, meaning no long, overwhelming workouts.
Can I do this at my own pace?
Yes! You can start anytime and go at a pace that suits you. There’s no pressure to keep up with anyone else.
What if I’ve tried running before and failed?
You’re not alone - and it’s not your fault. Most people fail because they go too fast, too soon, without guidance. This plan focuses on building you up properly so it actually sticks.
Will this help me lose weight?
Running can absolutely support weight loss, but more importantly, this will help you feel fitter, stronger, and more confident. Weight loss often follows as a result of consistency.
Do I need any special equipment?
Nope. Just a comfortable pair of trainers and clothes you can move around in. No fancy gear required.
